Coronavirus Infection Control Product Shortage Due to global supply chain issues related to the COVID-19 outbreak, OSI Procurement has been experiencing challenges in sourcing certain types of products which include surgical masks, sanitizers, gloves, and surface disinfectants. Many of our vendors have implemented restrictions, rationing, and specified allotments to control the depletion of these products and discourage hoarding. Because of the recent overwhelming demand for these items and volatility of stock levels, OSI Procurement has opted to temporarily remove infection control products from public view in the SAVE system and will be accepting requests for orders to ensure that they are processed successfully. Windows 7 Update As a reminder, Windows 7 has been officially retired “End of Life” by Microsoft effective January 14, 2020. This means that Microsoft will no longer support or provide security patches or updates for Windows 7. It is important to note that HIPAA requires the use of supported software and continued use of Windows 7 will result in non-compliance. There are options available to users who still have Windows 7 computers. Upgrade, in place, your existing devices. The cost to upgrade is 199.00 per computer. However, you may be eligible for a free upgrade *Please note that not all computers are able to be upgraded successfully, or eligible for a free upgrade. Replace existing computers in the office. Request extended support from Microsoft at the cost of $50.00 per computer for the next year. * Not all computers will qualify.
